Arraya Leverages Custom-Built Automation Tool to Help Organizations Navigate SmartCloud Notes End of Support
March 6, 2020 – Arraya Solutions is proud to announce our intent to play a lead role in helping organizations sunset existing SmartCloud Notes deployments ahead of the solution’s Summer 2020 end of support date. Support for the popular cloud-based communication platform – which was developed by IBM and later sold to HCL Technologies – is set to run out on July 16, 2020. Organizations that haven’t found an alternate source for their email, calendar, and directory needs – such as Microsoft Office 365 – by that date could lose access to those capabilities entirely.
Arraya’s approach to SmartCloud Notes migrations stands apart thanks to our custom-built automation tool. Having seen action in more than one hundred migrations to date, this tool has proven able to move complex workloads and data sets from SmartCloud Notes to a new home in Office 365 with zero data loss. It achieves this by mapping all versions, user metadata, and features in a 1:1 manner.
Beyond simply lifting and shifting data, this tool also seeks to enable a seamless transition from SmartCloud Notes to Office 365. It supports custom SharePoint frameworks designed to optimize the user experience, allowing employees to continue being productive despite the platform switch.
“This tool, combined with the skill and experience of our team, uniquely positions Arraya to help organizations of all shapes and sizes successfully navigate this disruptive moment,” said Chuck Kiessling, Arraya’s Senior Director of Presales Solutions. “We’re excited to help organizations architect and execute a post-SmartCloud Notes strategy that modernizes and enhances the way in which their employees and teams work together.”
